The Beginning - Chapter one - Nontok and the Diamond Finger

The Demon Yak (ยักษ์) Nontok (sometimes referred to as Nontuk) served the Lord Phra Isworn (Shiva), by sitting at the foot of the staircaise that ascended to the top of Mount Krailash (ไกรลาส), and washing the feet of the Tewata (Angels)who sought an audience with Pra Isworn.
The Tewata loved to tease Nontok in various ways; slapping his head and fondling his face, and even pulling his hair until he became entirely bald headed. This continued for a period of Ten Million years, throughout which time Nontok remained peaceful and served his master Pra Isworn faithfully without a siingle complaint.Sometimes Nontok would see his reflection in the water and burst into tears at the sight of his face.
The day came when Nontok could no longer bear it and so he climbed the steps of Krailash to beg Pra Isworn to repay his Ten Million years of loyalty. He asked for a Diamond finger (niw paetch - นิวเพชร), with which he could point and kill anything in the path of the beam his finger would send.

Pra Isworn rewarded him by granting his wish.

Nontok returned to his job of washing the feet of the Tewata, but upon being teased and cajoled again he lost his composure, and became extremely angry.
Nontok chased and hunted the Tewata throughout the heavens and pointed his deadly laser-like diamond finger at them -- killing all in his wake.
